We know how it goes: You have a great idea for a movie, one that would thrill and entertain on a massive scale. You can already picture the awards tumbling in like praises but there’s a slight problem: How do you actually get it done? As you probably know, any given screenplay idea can be executed in hundreds of different ways, some better than others. That’s why, for an idea to be able to shine forth as it truly deserves, time and attention to detail need to be invested, with an eye for quality and precision. Writing a script can be a daunting task. We’re here to help you, every step of the way, if need be, while sticking to your vision and the message you’re trying to get across.
You might already have your award-winning movie or documentary and you feel stifled by the fact that it can only be enjoyed by a tiny portion of the globe, due to language barriers. No worries! Here at Sidomex Universal, we will translate your script or finished product for you, making it ready for subtitling or voice-overs.
Translating isn’t as simple as being able to speak both the source and destination languages fluently. As you may well know, accurate translations have to take into account a wide range of factors such as common expressions, idioms and metaphors, as well as cultural nuances. After all, translation isn’t a word-for-word endeavour. One needs to be able to capture the essence of a message and retransmit it as accurately as possible.
What Languages Do We Handle?
In order to ensure quality and accuracy, all our translators are native speakers that hold extensive experience in both the source and destination languages, having lived for many years in countries related to both languages. This ensures that your final product won’t look translated, but rather as though it had originally been written in the destination language.
For now we only handle English, French and Mandarin Chinese with much more to come such as Spanish, German and Hindi.
How Much Do We Charge For Translations?
Giving a general translation price (on a per-word basis, for instance) wouldn’t really be accurate, as the price will be a reflection of many factors, such as the presence or absence of technical jargon related to medical, legal or engineering fields for example, length of the project and preferred time of completion.
